Vinyl LP Transfer Service

Vinyl Record TransferWe offer a high-quality vinyl transfer service to either CD or digital file formats such as WAV, AIFF or MP3, we never transfer and convert straight to CD or files as this can produce poor results. We use the Ion Profile Pro which is connected directly to a Sony DTC-750 D.A.T recorder using the Phono (RCA) cables, the signal is then passed to our computer using the optical digital out connection to offer the best transfer possible. Once we have your LP captured we will then use the latest software restoration software to reduce the background crackle and pops that can make your records sound annoying.

Audio TransferWe can transfer your LP records that play at a speed of 33, 45 or 78 rpm, if you have coloured vinyl or picture discs we can also transfer these. As standard, we will provide a track for each side of the LP we do offer an optional track splitting service. Before transferring your record we will inspect it for any damage and remove any excess dust from the surface, when removing the dust we use a soft carbon fibre brush to prevent damage to the record.

Once we have converted the transferred audio we will convert it to the required audio file format of your choice, if you have requested a CD we will export it as WAV files before creating your CD to ensure your CD is the highest quality possible. As standard, we will capture your audio at 16 bit 44.1 kHz as this is normal CD quality and will cause the least issues with devices such as phones, smart TVs or Media players. If you are looking for 24 bit 48 kHz files then please let us know and we can capture at the higher bitrate and frequency.

Audio formats we transfer toIf you are looking for audio files rather than CD we can transcode to almost any file format, as standard we will encode to WAV, AIFF or MP3. WAV and AIFF files offer the highest quality as they are uncompressed formats MP3 files are encoded at a constant bitrate of 320 kbps offering a smaller file size but retaining quality. Once your files are created they can be transferred to a USB drive or uploaded for you to download. You are welcome to supply your own USB drive or alternatively we can supply a high-speed Sandisk USB 3 Ultraflair drive for an additional cost starting at £8.00 for a 16GB drive.

We offer a digital download service for a cost of £10.00 per order with our digital download service you will be supplied a download link that will be active for 28 days to allow you to download your files. The link can be used as many times as you like allowing you to download multiple copies of your files making it easier to have backup copies. If you require longer to download your files just let us know before the end of the 28 days and we will be happy to extend the time at no extra cost.

Additional Services

Audio to Compact DiscAs standard our CD’s come in a slimline jewel case with a title printed on your CD, we offer a few upgrade options such as track splitting, track listing inlays as well as additional editing services if required. George was great at explaining the options for converting an old LP to digital, I’m very happy with the service I received, the files made a family member very happy this Christmas.
